Why do council members and city employees do what they do in their careers? Why do some fight and claw and scratch to further their careers in order to accomplish a personal agenda? They want to make a name for themselves. They want to be the center of attention. They are driven to impress others so others will think well of them. If they do what they do in their public service careers to unconsciously compensate for self-esteem issues or ego deficiencies, if they work for promotions and awards just to impress others at high school football games or at the knights of columbus, then they are doing it for the wrong reasons. Self-aggrandizement to impress others is why we keep getting the same recycled candidates in this city. They are driven by an emptiness deep down inside that they try to fill with the admiration of others. They forget that after they are gone most of what they have done will probably eventually be forgotten. They need to identify the fear and insecurity that drives them to claw and scratch to get ahead of others, or treat others like dirt so they can create for themselves the illusion that they are better than we are.

We have no choice in the matter; we have to elect somebody no matter what their psychological issues are.

You know Melvin and Eddie made things work but David he pulled it all together. So if you want to talk to me about psychological issues, go ahead and lets talk. Nothing youve got to say to me wont come as any shock. We must be guilty of something otherwise these canaidates wouldnt be whispering in our ears.
